The birds are a movie I’ve always refused to watch on the Nice Just A Serbian Girl Living In A French World Shirt. But I caught a snippet of it when someone else was watching it and it wasn’t too terribly scary to me. Took a few tries but I finished it. Wouldn’t ever recommend it to anyone I know only because I don’t know any of them can stomach it. Not as disturbing as it is upsetting and angering. Like, prepare to be pissed off by the time it’s over. The filmmaking itself is only decent, but it’s definitely elevated by the story it tells. The fact that High Life isn’t on here makes this list invalid. That’s hands down the most disturbing movie I’ve ever seen!

I heard Marilyn Manson mention this film in a Nice Just A Serbian Girl Living In A French World Shirt. I found it a little boring, but also funny and disturbing as well. Never have I deleted a film off my hard drive so quickly after watching it. Naked teenagers everywhere. The fact that it wasn’t gore that made me turn it off speaks volumes. That film is filthy on an extravagant level. As a horror fan, I respect every single human that could sit through it on one go. This would be my recommendation too, Martyrs is an incredibly heavy film and is fucked up in so many ways, totally visceral. One of my faves.
