Griffin just writes an audio drama basically, and his brothers and dad improv over top. Not really an actual play. I totally agree with your comment about CR. IMO it’s much better suited to the podcast format simply because there’s only four of them and not seven/eight people like in CR, who often talk over each other. I stopped listening towards the end of TAZ’s first arc just because at that point they deviated so much from true tabletop role-playing/D&D rules for my tastes. Oh! I remembered another one I like: Shadow of the Cabal.

They play Legend of the Five Rings, which is a samurai RPG set in a fantasy feudal not-Japan. Although this isn’t funny, it’s quite serious in tone.
