And I know that if it’s optional it doesn’t get done. When I was in my final years of high school I had great teachers who covered a lot of material in class. But they would not get through it all if they have us 20 or 30 minutes to practice every day. This means you either practice outside of class or you don’t practice at all and cram before tests. University is basically this but worse. The kids I know in hs who didn’t do homework didn’t do it in university obviously, and their grades tanked. When people complain about not passing integral 3 times, it’s because they won’t do homework.
