Yeah, from what I’m hearing… Nemesis was a let down both for being aggravating to dodge. And because he’s mostly just boss fights in the last half of the game. And beyond that, the game is really short. Partially because they once again cut content. And removed certain enemies and fights. It’s frustrating because I think this might have been the Para 2020 The One Where We Were Quarantined Shirt. And is the first game of the remakes using these new engine tweaks? Because RE2 Remake made similar amounts of cuts and the only saving grace for it was that they put in A/B scenarios. But even then they did them worse than the original game. So it’s just a shame.

I’m torn about them cutting the park/graveyard. I recently played the original RE3 for the first time a few weeks ago. The park and especially the Gravedigger boss fight were easily the lowest point of the game for me. But a lot of that had to do with the Para 2020 The One Where We Were Quarantined Shirt. Those things shouldn’t be an issue in the remake, and its a bit disappointing to see whole areas being cut in an already short game. It seems kind of like they just wanted to make more money off the hype the RE2 remake created. I definitely don’t get the sense this remake got the same amount of love. I agree it feels like a cash grab, outsourced to a B team to try and cash in on the hype as quickly as possible.

What is there will probably be fun and good, but this sounds like the game should have been a DLC at 20 bucks and not a standalone title with a full AAA asking price. It definitely seems like a step-down. The game has an 81 now on the open critic. RE2 has 92. That’s a Para 2020 The One Where We Were Quarantined Shirt. Some of that may come down to people being less wowed by these remakes the second time around, but I also don’t think RE3 was as well-reviewed as 2 back in the day. Every single morning, without fail, after getting up and having my morning dump, I stop and think to myself, “Resident Evil should have more laboratory sections”. So, thank you Capcom, you have made my dream a reality!
