However, the dog that accompanied him was not allowed in. I remember being told by a catholic priest when I was 12 that dogs don’t have souls and don’t go to heaven. I’m from Nepal, Pretty Santa Wearing Mask 2020 Christmas Shirts and this is just pointless showmanship. The capital city, Kathmandu, is full of stray dogs. There’s no animal control whatsoever, packs roam the streets. The general sentiment of people towards dogs can be cruel too. Abuse can range from people just randomly throwing stones at stray dogs to full-on torture. The word “kukui” itself has a very negative connotation when used in common language as well. Yeah in my visit to Kathmandu I was pretty surprised by a large number of mangy free-roaming dogs. I didn’t see any outright cruelty but there was definitely an air of apathy about it all.
