And then when people finally saw it they realized it was absolute garbage anyway. I actually enjoyed it a lot. Basically saw it as a kung-fu movie with a familiar story and it was great. It’s not just Mulan, Hollywood as a whole has been kowtowing to the Chinese leadership for a decade or more because the international box office has become a huge profit generator for them.
